The LANCOM Professional Workshop WAN / WLAN / Switch / Cloud as a web-based training course provides the basic know-how for handling LANCOM routers and gateways, configuring access points, and setting up switches in a business environment. The theory is supplemented by practical exercises. You will learn the most important skills required for planning, commissioning and administering a standard scenario with LANCOM devices (routers, unified firewalls, access points and switches). In addition to the classic LANtools, you will also learn about the LANCOM Management Cloud.
Following the course, the certification exam for the LANCOM Certified Professional WAN / WLAN / Switch / Cloud is automatically released. The LANCOM certifications allow you to prove comprehensive network know-how. With the acquired certificate, you stand out from the crowd as a qualified provider, prove your profound technical knowledge, and convince your customers with your expertise.

Content
The LANCOM Professional Workshop WAN / WLAN / Switch / Cloud lays the foundation for taking responsibility for the installation and configuration of LANCOM products. The following topics are covered:
- Basic configuration of LANCOM components with LCOS, LCOS FX, LCOS LX and LCOS SX
- Carrying out small installation projects with LANCOM devices
- Configuration wizards
- Internet configuration with LCOS and LCOS FX gateways
- WLAN basics and security
- Firewall function on the LCOS gateway
- VPN client dial-up with IPSec IKEv2
- Installation and configuration of an LMC project with several devices on a single location
Important: The certification is already part of this course and does not need to be booked separately.

Requirements
- Substantial knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking technology are requested
- First experience with LANCOM products are desirable but not required
Learning Goals
The LANCOM Professional Workshop WAN / Wireless / Switch / Cloud provides you with the necessary knowledge to implement basic tasks with LANCOM devices.
- Fundamental understanding of handling LANCOM devices and the LANCOM Management Cloud (LMC)
- Assured working with the different operating systems LCOS, LCOS LX and LCOS SX
- Realization of small installation projects using LANtoos, WEBconfig and / or the LANCOM Management Cloud
- Improvements in the communication with level III technicians or LANCOM support
Qualification
This is a "web-based" exam. It is automatically part of the workshop booking process.
- The certification is considered passed if you have answered at least 80% of the questions correctly.
- The maximum time allowed is 60 minutes. Breaks longer than 10 minutes interrupt the examination. Please note that a retake is then no longer possible.
Please note that a camera with microphone is required to perform the test and that the test must be performed alone. During the exam, Proctorio will monitor compliance with these guidelines and ensure the integrity of the exam.

To fulfill the practical exercises, we recommend having the following hardware available on your site:
- LCOS router ex. 178x-series, 179x-series, 18xx-series, 19xx-series
- LCOS FX Unified Firewall (any) or vFirewall
- LCOS SX switch GS-3xxx
- LCOS LX access point ex. LX-6500
- PC / notebook with Windows 10 or higher
- WLAN-client for test purpose (ex. smartphone)
