Good basic knowledge of TCP/IP and networks is assumed, as is the content taught in the LANCOM Professional Workshop WAN / WLAN / Switch / Cloud or in the LANCOM Professional Workshop Cloud (until 2022). These content is not repeated in this workshop.

The LANCOM Specialist Workshop Cloud provides you with the necessary knowledge to implement more extensive tasks with LANCOM devices.

Contents of the exam
The LANCOM Certified Specialist Cloud exam is based on the content of the LANCOM Specialist Workshop Cloud course. It does not matter whether you prepare with one of our classroom workshops or our web-based training; both formats cover the necessary content and exercises.

The LANCOM certification exam is valid for 24 months from the day you pass it.

Practical exam (from July 01, 2024)
From July 01, 2024, you will be presented with a scenario corresponding to your workshop, which you will work through independently. Our experts will evaluate your solution and let you know within 2 working days whether you have passed.

• Participants of our trainer-led classroom events: Certification is taken following the workshop as a "practical exam" in the classroom. Typically on Friday morning. The exam is part of the course price.
• Participants in our web-based training courses or re-certifiers/repeaters: We offer separate practical examination dates at regular intervals for a maximum of eight candidates per date. You can either take the exam separately or as part of a WBT.
  The exams take place remotely, i.e. via video conference. You work on a standard lab workstation at the LANCOM Training Center. All you need is your knowledge, stable web access and an ID card.

For both variants (in the classroom or remote), please allow approx. 30 minutes for the preliminary discussion and 60 minutes for the practical implementation of the scenario. Please note that we will need to verify your identity. Please have your identity card ready for this.

The practical certification is considered passed if you have completed at least 80% of the scenario correctly.

If the workshop is booked as a WBT, you will need at least the following to complete the practical exercises

• Access to the LANCOM Management Cloud (organization)
• LANCOM R&S Unified Firewall (e.g. LANCOM UF-60 or a LANCOM vFirewall)
• LANCOM router (e.g. LANCOM 1793VA)
• LANCOM SMB switch (e.g. LANCOM GS-3510XP)
• One (or better two) LANCOM LCOS LX access point (e.g. LANCOM LX-6200)
• PC/notebook with Windows 10 or Windows 11
