The focus of the “LANCOM Specialist Workshop SMB Switching” is on the smooth operation of local networks with LANCOM SMB switches of the 3000 series. The relevant techniques are covered in theory and practice. The focus is on switch management, the necessary redundancy procedures and the security features of the switches. In addition to configuration via the console, the CLI commands relevant for troubleshooting are also presented.

The focus of the “LANCOM Expert Workshop Enterprise Class Switching” is on the uninterrupted operation of local campus networks with LANCOM Enterprise Class Switches. The relevant redundancy mechanisms of layers 2 and 3 of the LANCOM reference model for campus networks are covered. In addition to configuration using the console, the CLI commands relevant for troubleshooting are also presented.

Previous knowledge of command line interfaces from other manufacturers such as Cisco or HPE is an advantage for this course, but is not a prerequisite.
